I’m a scholar, performer, writer, and editor, living and teaching in Portland, Oregon.
I think rubrics ruin our investigations into the unknown. I think cynicism is a pretty flimsy excuse not to hope (there’s room for both). I believe we really can live with less caffeine and still feel sharp. I think that movement provides a reliable antidote to anxiety. I’m pretty sure that idle talk could become deep conversation with just a little more courage. I’m not a big fan of entering natural bodies of water. Lack of faith is a bad habit. I’d like to grow more of my own food.
This “daily exercise” is about all this and more. I hope you enjoy the lack of focus. I also hope you understand that it’s not exactly daily. Sometimes – mostly Fridays – I get distracted. Ya dig?
